Magic Potterland (Seramiklerim)
When I was little we used to go to pottery lessons with my sister. It was great fun to play with 'mud'!
Years later, in Berlin I was lucky to have pottery classes in a Berlin school and here is what I brought back home for my mum <----------------------------------------------------------- Since then I've been thinking about making something else, but either had no time or opportunity to do it... untill recently! I found a nice little place with a great teacher that shows you everything from how to prepare the clay to different techniques of making a pot or a plate. Even though I have just started I feel that it will be more than hobby, so it means time for a separate page here! By the way the heading picture is of a pottrey shop in Cappadocia where I tried to make a pot on a pottery wheel. Last updated on 30.09.2016 On this page you will see my miniature ceramic houses with turquoise roofs, leaf imprinted plates and different variations of plates with animal heads. I also make sgraffito technique: the plate is covered with glaze before it is biscuited and then the ornament is scratched on it. The effect is beautiful. Hope you like my works! |
